For my 24th birthday, my boyfriend and I went to Cancun. Here’s a full recap of our itinerary!
Day 1: May 22, 2024 (My Birthday!!)
(That’s my boyfriend and I, super excited to leave Baltimore. We were both desperately in need of a vacation.)
We left for Cancun on my actual birthday, which I will never do again because I hated being on a plane for basically my entire birthday. We flew Frontier for the first time, and all I will say is never again!!!! It was affordable, but definitely not worth it if you are flying for over 2 hours. Lesson learned. Our flight took off around 9:30am, and we arrived at our resort around 6pm.
(The view from our hotel room was everything. We stayed on The Reserve, which was the adults only side of the resort. And of course I had to get an Ocean View.)
We stayed at the Paradisus Cancun, and it was such an amazing all-inclusive resort. I could go on and on about how nice it was, but I’ll just link it so you all can check it out. The only downside was that the resort was very hot in hallways and lobby areas because it is filled with plants.
We went to dinner at a restaurant on our resort called Lemon Fish and my boyfriend took lots of cute birthday pictures of me.
(In case you were wondering, I got my top and bottom from this brand called Jluxlabel, my shoes from Steve Madden, and my purse from Shein. My outfit was inspired by my favorite YouTuber McKenna Walker)
Day 2: May 23, 2024
The next day we had an all day boat tour excursion that took us to the beautiful island known as Isla Mujeres. The boat tour had an open bar, a buffet at a beach club, tequila tasting, and they gave us about 2 hours to explore the island.
(In case you were wondering, I got my bathing suit and skirt from Shein.)
(We had to rent a golf cart just to travel around the island because of how big it is.)
Day 3: May 24, 2024
We booked an adventure excursion that consisted of ATV riding, swimming in the cenote, ziplining, and tequila tasting. This was by far my favorite day of the trip. We had so much fun!
Day 4: May 25, 2024
Our last full day in Cancun, I left it open for us to be lazy and explore our humongous resort. We slept in super late (and we took a nap lol), and then we went and enjoyed some time in the pool and the beach. I had the most amazing mushroom tacos, did a sip and paint by the ocean, and ended our night watching an ancestral Mexican performance.
Enjoy this amazing clip of the performance. It was very captivating.
Overall, it was such an amazing experience and I cannot wait to travel out of the country again. Thank you for reading. Until next time…..
P.S. Check out the schedule for the rest of my year, and share your travel plans with me! I’m all about trying new things.
